Chet Hanks Calls Out Eric Andre in Instagram Rant
Chet Hanks is courting controversy after embarking on an online rant against comedian Eric Andre.
In a recent interview, Andre labelled the 32-year-old rapper/actor – who is the son of actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson – as “emotionally disturbed” after he apparently wreaked havoc on the set of his Adult Swim series, “The Eric Andre Show”, while appearing as a guest.
“[Hanks] broke us down,” Andre explained. “He is … emotionally disturbed. He stole a motorcycle and rode it around. He almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders. It was very dangerous.”
Taking to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, 14 March, Hanks posted this racy caption over a black screen (along with a laughing-and-crying emoji): “Had no idea you were such a p***.”
He then shared a video in which he claimed that he was just trying to “match that energy” of the show, which is known for its surreal humour. As for the motorcycle, all he did (allegedly) was pop a wheelie on a dirt bike as he rode it around the set.
“Everybody’s like, ‘No, no, no, don’t do that,’” Hanks explained. “‘You could get hurt!’ I’m like, ‘Chill, I just popped a little wheelie.’ I put the bike down. Now [Andre] wants to come out and talk s*** about me? You must’ve just not liked the fact that I outshined you on your own f****** show.”
Andre has yet to respond to Hanks’ rant.
